March 10, 2004 -- Cornerstone Farm, a local Boulder business offering horseback riding lessons and horse training services to area residents for eight years, has relocated. Cornerstone Farm specializes in hunter/jumper instruction for beginning through advanced riders on all breeds of horses, and will now conduct lessons and training sessions and provide boarding services at Full Moon Farm, 9143 Valmont Road in Boulder, just west of 95th Street.

"After I finished my equine science degree, I started my work in the profession at Full Moon Farm as a groom, and I’m excited to be back," said Jen Herrington, owner and head instructor of Cornerstone Farm. "The opportunity to expand and now provide boarding services to my clients, and have access to the trails and open space adjacent to the facility, was too good to pass up."

Ms. Herrington is a graduate of the Colorado State University equine science program, and is a certified English and Western riding instructor. She has been riding for more than 20 years, and has taught riding and trained horses for 13 years. She specializes in hunter/jumper instruction, and offers private and group lessons, as well as horse training services. Lessons can be taught on one of Cornerstone Farm’s trustworthy horses, or riders can take lessons atop their own horse.

The facility, Full Moon Farm, features two outdoor arenas; a round pen; a cross country course; an indoor arena with rubber footing, mirrors and bleachers; and full-service barns with automatic waterers, hot/cold wash racks, tack rooms and lockers. Open space trails for riding are accessible nearby.

2004 Show Schedule
Cornerstone Farm will host a 2004 schooling show series at Full Moon Farm on Sundays throughout the spring, summer and fall. Shows begin at 9:00 a.m. and will feature walk-trot, walk-trot-canter and hunter classes judged by a certified professional. Shows will be held on May 16, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 5, and October 17.

The entry fee is $10 per class, with a $5 per rider office fee. The office fee is waived for entries received by the Friday before the show. Ribbons will be awarded to 6th place, with champion and reserve champion for each division. A grand prize for division champions for the entire series will be awarded following the final show of the season in October.

2004 Youth Horsemanship Camp Schedule
Cornerstone Farm will host summer horsemanship camps for students at least eight years old in June, July and August. Seven sessions will be held, including two sessions for advanced riders, to teach English riding and stable management skills in a safe, friendly, fun environment. Instruction is tailored to each student’s needs and riding ability, and enrollment is limited to eight students per camp. Each camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Camp dates are: June 21-24, June 28-July 1, July 5-8 (advanced), July 12-15, July 26-29 August 2-5 (advanced) and August 9-12.
